Over the past fifteen years
I have developed a holistic body-centered healing method that
works with the interface between psychology, energy, and consciousness.
My private energy healing practice and teaching curriculum
are catalysts for transformation.
I have been teaching my own seminars in the Bay Area since
1999.
The Art of Knowing: A Workshop for Women, A Multimodal Approach
to Healing
and Toning:
The Transformational Power of Sound Healing
seminars are taught in the
Bay area and throughout the United States.
Between 1998-2003, I served as a faculty member at the Barbara
Brennan School of Healing (BBSH). My teaching responsibilities
included training hundreds of second-year students in a model
for personal growth and professional practice, in-depth chakra
techniques, astral healing and high sense perception. During
my final year at BBSH I was the co-director of the Creative
Arts Program in the second-year curriculum.
In 2001, I graduated from the three-year program at the
Center
For Intentional Living (CIL) and
studied psychoanalytic, object relations, humanistic and transpersonal
psychology. Subsequently, I worked with the co-founder of
CIL as a writer and editor, which deepened my knowledge of
developmental and object relations psychology.
Other formal training in the healing arts includes a Certificate
in Massage Therapy from the Diamond Light School of Massage,
attendance at several trauma workshops including an introduction
to Somatic Experiencing with Peter Levine (author of Waking
the Tiger), a month-long Gestalt training at Esalen Institute
and foot reflexology. I received a Bachelor of Science in
Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
In 2004, I began studying for a Master's
Degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology at the California
Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
Since 2005, I have been working therapeutically with children,
teenagers, their families, and adults in both school-based
counseling and clinic settings.
I use somatic, narrative, cognitive behavioral, and family
systems approaches, sand tray therapy, art therapy, and play
therapy to support my clients. I earned my Master's Degree
in Somatic Counseling Psychology in 2006.

I
opened to energetic healing work at the age of twenty-two.
It became clear to me while working at the Vermont
Department of Environmental Conservation that the life
of a bureaucrat,
albeit an environmental one, was not my path. I left
my position and moved to an organic vegetable farm
in Washington State. While tending the earth, spiritual
and energetic realms opened up and became accessible.
My passion to explore the connection between quantum
physics and the consciousness held in the energy field
was ignited and has been blazing ever since! I began
to work with my healing gifts and felt “at home” with
my purpose.
After two farming seasons steeped in stewardship, personal healing work and
spiritual openings, I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to pursue professional
training. Over
the course of that year I learned of the four-year training at the Barbara
Brennan School of Healing (BBSH). I circled back to Vermont and attended BBSH
the following
fall.
Making my home in Central Vermont, I served as the Co-Director of Woman
Centered, a local Vermont non-profit organization that supported, educated
and empowered
women of all ages, backgrounds and income levels. I was responsible for the
financial end of the organization and offered direct service and advocacy
to women in crisis,
provided peer counseling and co-led women’s support groups in local high
schools. Concurrently, I maintained a part-time energy healing practice and
attended BBSH.
Seven years after my initial journey to Washington State, I
moved west to build my full-time healing practice in California.
Since 1997 I have been in private practice in a lovely office
located in Mill Valley. My work combines advanced energy healing
techniques, counseling psychology, coaching and toning to support
my clients to embrace their full potential.
During my spare time, I am active in free-form dance, hiking,
kayaking, singing, writing, shamanic drumming, and celebrating
life in nature and in community.
